Kamina Scholarship

Ahousaht Post-Secondary is proud and honored to present the Kamina Scholarship for all Ahousaht Post-Secondary students. The scholarship is made possible because of a generous donation from a contributor who wishes to remain anonymous.

 

These funds will be administered in accordance with contributor’s last will and testament. Two bursaries in the amount of $500.00 each will be awarded annually over the next 50 years to Ahousaht students who are registered at a post-secondary institution, either in academic or vocational.

 

Selection will be made by Ahousaht Post-Secondary representatives.    

Eligibility Criteria:  

  • Registered to Ahousaht First Nation

  • Enrolled or recently graduated from a post-secondary institution.

  • Financial hardship.

  • Be in good standing (attendance/GPA) with your post-secondary institution.

Required Documents: 

  • Kamina Scholarship Form

  • Letter of Support from institution: educational advisor, instructor, dean.

  • Letter of support demonstrating Citizenship and community engagement (Giving back to the community), and why the recipient deserves this scholarship.

  • Letter provided by the student entailing the financial hardships and how this scholarship will help.  

  • (Un)official Administrative Transcripts

 

Deadline to apply: May 31 – Annually
